Table RTP Checklist: 3:2 First, Then the Cashier

Return to player is a long-run pool average. On slots it comes from a certified maths model the operator installs. On tables it comes from the rules printed on the felt or in the help pages. Canadian players who only compare reel titles miss the larger swing. A blackjack natural that pays 3:2, not 6:5, moves the house edge by more than a full point. That is a bigger gap than many slot-build steps. This page is a rule checklist: blackjack first, then the other tables, then the reel and video poker ceilings kept on separate lines. Pass the felt. Then open the cashier. A verified payout that ignores the rule card is only half a check.

Two Sources of Return: Installed Build vs Printed Rules

Slots and tables both quote a percentage. They do not produce it the same way.

Mark each game type on its own line. Do not blend a blackjack figure, a reel build, and a video poker paytable into one range. The ceilings are not interchangeable.

Blackjack: 3:2, Not 6:5, Is the Pass/Fail

Standard multi-deck blackjack that pays 3:2 on a natural, lets you double and split, and has the dealer stand on soft 17 sits near 99.5% under basic strategy. That is one of the highest returns in a regulated lobby.

Change only the natural. Pay 6:5 instead. The house edge rises by more than a point. The theoretical return drops to the low 98s. The table still looks like blackjack. The rule is the whole difference.

• Pass: the help pages or the felt state that a natural pays 3:2, not 6:5.
• Fail: 6:5, or a page that will not name the payout.

Do not sit down on a fail. The seven brands we rank pay 3:2. Strategy cannot repair a 6:5 table. A prompt cashier cannot repair it either. The payout on the natural is the check. Everything else on this page assumes that check has already passed.

Roulette Zeros and Baccarat Positions

European roulette uses one zero. The house edge on even-money bets is about 2.7%. American roulette adds a double zero and roughly doubles that edge. The extra pocket is the whole check. One green zero: you are on the single-zero variant. Two green pockets: you are on the thicker table.

Baccarat is a position check. Banker sits near a 1.06% house edge. Player is close behind. Tie is a different product — a much thicker edge behind an 8:1 sticker. Side bets across tables usually hide the same pattern: a loud payout, a quiet edge. Stick to the main positions if the point of the seat is return.

La partage or en prison on a single-zero wheel, if present, halves the edge on even-money bets. Read the help pages. Do not assume a European label includes that rule. If the page will not name the zero rule, ask support. A missing answer is a reason to pick another table, not a reason to guess.

Keep Slot Builds and Video Poker Paytables Apart

Reel titles at the brands we rank should read as 96%+ on slots. Best reel models live in the mid-96s to high-96s, sometimes the low 98s. They do not climb to the video poker ceiling.

Video poker is a paytable product. A full-pay table can post up to 99.9% on video poker. That number lives on the poker paytable. Treat it as a different machine. Mixing the two ceilings makes every reel title on the page look dishonest when the sheet tops out in the mid-96s.

4. On video poker, read the paytable. The 99.9% ceiling is a full-pay video poker figure, not a reel figure.
5. Size the stake to the cash you brought. Volatility is a second axis. It does not rewrite RTP.

Then open the cashier only if the game checks passed. A verified payout still has to clear documents and the listed withdrawal rail. That is a later gate. It is not a reason to skip the felt.
